Alexa Redirect Not Working Anymore

The Alexa Redirect function does not work anymore. When the URL is clicked, which is prefixed with ” http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?, it shows the 404 page error as below:

The requested URL /redirect was not found on this server.

There are bloggers who use the “alexa redirect” plugin for Wordpress. They need to deactivate it. There are other who used http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect? to the their links. Those links are now dead links.

Increase Your Website's or Blog's Alexa Rankings

Your Alexa Rankings can be important if you're looking to market your blog for sponsored reviews. Most advertisers wouldn't want to spend their money on sites with low traffic, little readers or exposures and low ranked sites (PageRank and Alexa). Getting your PageRank ready and up may not be possible anymore because recently Google slapped bloggers who do sponsored posts by stripping their PageRank to 0. There are a few simple ways to increase your Alexa rankings. Alexa calculate the rankings by the number of visits from people with the Alexa toolbar installed.

1. So the very first step is to download & install the Alexa toolbar for your internet browser. Then visit your site/blog everyday with the toolbar installed.

2. Install the Alexa traffic badge on your website. You can get the widget/badge here.

3. Use the Alexa redirect URL trick whenever possible. Use http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect? in front of your website's URL. For example, mine would be http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?onlinepaycheck.blogspot.com
